Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is better understood as an enlarged prostate. This is likely to have occurred due to a high concentration of testosterone in the prostate gland brought on by excess estrogen levels.
Encouraged by nutritional deficiencies, this concentrated testosterone then gets converted by an enzyme (called 5-alpha reductase) into a more dangerous form of testosterone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) causing the prostate to enlarge. An enlarged prostate can push on the bladder and cause the frequent and uncomfortable feeling of needing to urinate during the night.
This negative conversion to DHT also impairs sperm production and function causing erectile dysfunction which can make conceiving a child difficult.
Through a revised diet and possible supplementation we aim to reduce potent DHT production, increase and enhance sperm quantity and quality, and reduce the size of the prostate. |
